Established in 1921, Gainesville Country Club's 18-hole golf course, originally designed by George Cobb, follows a rich tradition that professional golfer, Mark McCumber, continued in his 1994 redesign of the greens in a classical architectural style.

The course rating is 71.8 and it has a slope rating of 123. Designed by Ward Northrup, the Plantation Oaks golf course opened in 1978.

Golf is offered at Ironwood Golf Course, an 18-hole, par 72, championship course owned by the City of Gainesville and operated by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. Ironwood Golf Course has an outstanding layout sculptured around century-old pines and shimmering lakes. The contoured fairways and strategically placed bunkers offer every level of golfer a tremendous opportunity to test their skills. A 6,465 yard Championship 18 hole course, Par 72, four sets of tees; driving range and putting green; and Pro Shop.

Once an Indian Reservation is now one of the most unusual, affordable and challenging championship golf courses in North Central Florida. Meadowbrook Golf Club is not your typical Florida golf course, nothing flat or boring about this layout. It's rolling hills, tree lined fairways and running streams create an atmosphere that almost suggests you are in the North Carolina Mountains rather than ten minutes from downtown Gainesville. Designed by world renowned golf course architect Steve Smyers, Meadowbrook has the distinction of being the first course he built. Smyers kept nature in mind while routing the course by leaving natural ponds, streams and valleys as obstacles. Adding to this natural beauty the course is also teeming with wildlife including cranes, foxes and hawks. 18 hole course.

Located less than a mile from campus, the Mark Bostick Golf Course at The University of Florida and the Guy Bostick Clubhouse, home of the Men's and Women's Golf Teams, is situated on 110 acres of heavily tree-lined, softly rolling terrain.The 18-hole, par 70 course plays to a length of 6,700 yards from the Gator tees, but with four sets of tees, is playable from all levels of players.The course went through a $4 million renovation in 2001, which included: new tees and fairway green surfaces, 140-plus bunkers, triple row irrigation, and a newly designed practice facility for the teams. The course is available for UF students, faculty/staff and alumni.

The 18 hole course at the West End Golf Course facility in Newberry Florida features 3,940 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 60 . The course rating is 59.0 and it has a slope rating of 117 on Bermuda grass. Designed by John E. O'Connor, the West End golf course opened in 1969. Billed as the Worlds Largest Lighted Golf Course. Includes Pro Shop and Professional Instruction.
